Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and commitment to improving South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) products and services during an engagement using the agency's senior supervisors in a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled while in the 2024 matric final exams.

From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered to the National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% in the registered pupils while in the education and learning sector.

These learners accomplished a commendable pass rate of 86%.
